The BOMA

Immerse yourself at the focal point of the lodge with comfortable camping chairs seating around fire and story telling with our attentive staff.

This is the perfect place in the mornings and evenings to relax and start or end the day with binoculars at hand to take a closer look at any of the passers-by on “bush tv”. The fireplace is right closer to the waterhole on a deck and a photographing platform for star gazing and the ideal place to watch the sun rise and fall.

Waterhole

You don’t even need to worry about missing a good sighting if you’re overcome by tiredness – the night watch will let you know by ringing a bell that chimes in your room.

Campsite

At Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge we cater for self-drives, with nine isolated luxury camping sites with individual private camp ground each on raised under the shade of Mopani trees with a private verandah overlooking the surrounding bush.

We received a very warm welcome. They are extremely eager to satisfy the customers. Very good service and very tasty food. The campsites are overwhelming. I can only recommend the lodge

A campsite with huge potential, we stayed here for 6 nights . The owner , Lucky and staff are very friendly. This is a hidden gem. The only down side is that the sites are not serviced daily leaving the braai area dirty and refuse not removed. Further I can really recommend this hidden gem.

Out of this world Wow This place is something from a dream. Surpassed our expectations. Lucky (who owns the lodge with his sister) collected us from the airport. The lodge is a quick 50min drive away. But the drive is basically a safari, with giraffe, elephants, zebra and dear along the sides of the road. The lodge itself is lovely and boutique. With all the rooms and the bar / restaurant facing the watering hole: which was FULL of elephants for our entire stay. Sometimes as many as 40 there in one go: and babies. It was incredible. Food was wonderful: full English breakie, fruit, yogurt, cereals and cakes. Coffee and tea and water filling is free throughout the day. Our package included wonderful lunches (usually salad/ chicken and fries) Evening meals were around the fire, where the staff served a three course buffet, with varied options which we thought were all excellent. Drinks were very reasonable and varied in choice: we loved the Hunter cider. Lucky and his team prepared a full itinerary during our 4 day stay, including a village tour and an evening sundowner. We also did a full day safari with the brilliant and knowledgeable Haskins, where we saw ALL the animals. Followed by a river cruise on the Chobe River which is a site to behold. WiFi is a little sketchy: so take this as an opportunity to digital detox and immerse in nature. The rooms were lovely and comfy, with fans, big beds and hot showers. We slept with the doors open (fly nets down) to fully enjoy the sounds of the wild. The staff sing on arrival and most evenings you’ll be up dancing. We can’t get the songs out of our head: uplifting is an understatement!!!! An incredible corner of the world. Feel humbled and so privileged to have experienced it. And hope we are lucky enough to return in our lifetime! See you in Namibia Lucky!!!!

More than just a place to stay!!! What a fantastic lodge! Viewing the elephants and other wildlife during the day and night at the waterhole in front of the deck, was such a treat. You can also see them from your room! The staff were friendly and helpful and always had a smile. The rooms were well appointed with a balcony. The boat trip and game drives organised by the lodge were excellent ( boat trip a highlight!) The food was plentiful and presented beautifully. Certainly enough as this lodge is all inclusive. Sitting around a fire after dinner with a drink and watching elephants was so special.I couldn’t recommend this lodge highly enough - the ambiance made me feel at one with nature. The cost is also fair and reasonable. Thank you for a memorable experience!

Delightful lodge with great animal sightings We camped in the fenceless area. There is much to love about this lodge: as campers, we were welcome to use the lodge facilities (e.g. swimming pool; bar); the animal sightings from the lodge were exceptional; and the staff were attentive and friendly. The campsite itself - each with platform and private ablutions - was good, but a bit of a dustbowl (our only complaint).

Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich! Touren zu den Victoria Falls und Chobe Nationalpark werden angeboten und sind auch zu empfehlen!

Confusing name We stayed at the lodge which is a building facing the waterhole. We loved the staff and amazing waterhole animals in this resort but could not give it a 5 because we found the food almost inedible and the long 40 minute drive to the park very tedious. There was also no heat/AC in the room which may make it hard in the summer. The rooms were very comfy.

Safari experience of a lifetime! I stayed at Lucky Bush Camp // Chobe Mopane Forest Lodge last month for three nights and had an incredible time; it was without a doubt the most amazing travel experience of my life! The lodge is incredibly comfortable and clean, the staff are knowledgeable, attentive, and courteous, and the food is outstanding – Chef B is amazing! My guide during my stay, Ken, was friendly, knowledgeable, and went far above and beyond on the sunset drive, game drives, and coordinating other experiences like the sunset cruise. Every day was much more than an amazing safari experience, but also filled with learning about the flora and fauna we saw. Ken's patience and expertise brought us right next to lions, hippos, giraffes, impala, a massive herd of water buffalo, and much more. Meals in the park were exceptional – luxury like this in the bush, I never imagined and the meals were only topped by the delicious plates served back at the lodge. After a long day of game drives and boat cruises, it's hard to even imagine returning to such a comfortable and luxurious home base. As soon as you return, you're greeted with a welcome drink, asked what you'd like for dinner, and get to dine next to your new neighbors, elephants that come to visit the watering hole fifty feet away from the surrounding deck. Warm showers, soft, fluffy beds, and the sounds of the bush surround you as you hear bat-eared foxes, baboons, elephants, lions, leopards all night coming to visit the watering hole. All of the comfort and luxury of a 5-star hotel, but in the middle of the bush, exactly where you want to be during your stay in Botswana and at a very modest price. I plan to return for a longer visit with my family in the next couple of years and will look no further than Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge, next time a longer visit – including Okavango Delta!

Dine with Elephants We just left Africa after a 19day safari with Overseas Adventure Travel. The last 3 days were spent here at Lucky Bush Camp in the heart of the Chobe Forest Reserve. The accommodations were amazing, the staff top notch and the food fantastic! The safari guide got us within Inches of a pride of sleeping lions, and a chance encounter with a hippo resting in the shade before heading back to the water for a day of basking. We even were surprised when the chef and his crew showed up in the middle of the park and served us an amazing hot lunch. All of this is topped off with a front row seat to the watering hole on the grounds! Elephants with their young came to drink, bathe, and splash throughout the day, there was a lion spotted one morning (sadly I missed that) and the next night a leopard was on the grounds, we saw the foot prints and scat. It was the most amazing way to end a fantastic safari trip. The story of the lodge and how it came to be is a true story of the perseverance and focus of the young woman who owns an operates it. I give both this camp and Overseas Adventure Travel top marks !!!

Luxury in the wild Lucky Bush camp is a perfect getaway with luxurious and clean rooms with breathtaking views. The waterhole attracts a variety of animals up close and personal as you have a sun downer ????. The service provided by the staff is world class and they are very knowledgeable about the area and the culture, giving any tourist a truly rich cultural experience. The kiosk is also stocked with beautiful hand made crafts by women in the local villages, giving you an opportunity to give back in a meaningful way ❤️. I will go back mang more times and highly recommend it.

For special needs write to us we will glad to help you
