Overview

Chobe game drives are one of the best ways to experience Kasane and the Chobe National Park. We have custom built 4×4 safari vehicles with open sides which promise exceptional views of wildlife for guests on our tours. Our professional safari guides lead drives in the park, where their experience and knowledge provide a great insight into animals’ whereabouts, behaviors, etcetera. If you’re lucky enough to spot big cats such as lions or leopards during your drive through these parks; however most cheetahs favor Linyanti region- we shall say that there is no better way than driving through Kasane and Chobe national parks all day!

Where is Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge Located?

The lodge is nestled within the protected wildlife management area along the Botswana-Zimbabwe border, Kasane Forest Lodge is conveniently located approximately 50 km from the tarred Kasane-Pandamatenga road. A short 10-minute drive from the main road brings you to the lodge, and you can reach the Botswana-Zimbabwe border in just 30 minutes.

This strategic position places the lodge between two remarkable parks, the Zambezi National Park on the Zimbabwean side and the Chobe National Park on the Botswanan side. Moreover, the lodge is merely 30 km away from the enchanting Kazuma Pan.

How do I get to the lodge?

Guests are warmly received by Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge, whether arriving from the Zambia/Zimbabwe border post, Kasane town, or Kasane airport, and are then smoothly transported to the lodge. The journey from Kasane involves a nearly 40-minute drive on a well-maintained tarred road, ensuring accessibility throughout the year.

Given the lodge's unique location between two national parks, wildlife thrives in abundance, with the area serving as a home to the largest concentration of elephants in transit between them. Please note that walking to the lodge is strictly prohibited.

What type of accommodations are available at Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge?

There are 18 standard ensuite rooms, all of which face the waterhole. Additionally, there are 2 family units, each comprising 2 standard rooms with an interleading door, also facing the waterhole. The lodge offers 2 stand-alone Meru chalets, and for those seeking a more private experience, there are 9 private campsites, each equipped with an elevated platform and private ablutions.

Is there Wi-Fi available at the lodge?

Certainly, we provide Wi-Fi not only in the main lodge area but also within the rooms for your convenience.

Is there a swimming pool at the lodge?

Yes, we offer a splendid swimming pool with a picturesque view of the waterhole for you to unwind and refresh yourself during breaks from your safari adventures.

Yes, our packages include 2 activities. One has the option to choose between mornings or afternoon game drives in Chobe National Park. These drives offer exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities.

Can I take a boat safari on the Chobe River?

Yes, we offer boat safaris along the Chobe River as an optional activity for an additional fee.
